Note: 21st Army Group was only formed three months before the surrender of Soviet forces in Western Canada and Alaska. Most of the fighting British forces undertook in 1990 was still under H.Q British Forces Canada (HQ. BFC). It was originally planned to form one more Army H.Q in Canada (either 5th, or 8th Army), but in the event the need to commit British Forces to Central Europe meant that this never happened.
